The Diversity of Flower Packaging

The Diversity of Flower Packaging

Regardless of how unique a flower or a bouquet is, beautiful packaging makes it a true masterpiece. A dull one, however, can distract from the flowers and disrupt the total look. But what type of packaging will complement the bouquet best? Let's find out!

Natural materials

The entire world is shifting to natural materials these days, and florists are not an exception. And it's no surprise - they just go so well with plants! Here are the top used natural materials for flower packaging:

  • craft paper
  • tissue paper
  • designer paper
  • paperboard

Various options of paper and its design are what florists reach to the most. Well, it’s quite reasonable: with the diversity in colors and finishes, this kind of packaging creates space for inspiration and flexibility, allowing us to choose the most complementary option.

Paper also tends to be matt in most cases, which is a perfect combination to bring up the texture of the petals and blend the background to emphasize the unique flower coloring.

Artificial materials

Artificial materials are a less frequent choice but can definitely add to how sophisticated your composition looks. For example, we use a velvet finish for some of our boxes, which transforms the bouquets into a luxurious piece of art!

Another option of packaging is the absence of it. Naked bouquets give you a chance to feel the texture of the flower stems and enjoy the full natural look. Such decorative artificial pieces as ribbons, lace and beads do wonders to change the look, serving as an elegant final touch.

Other options

While glass vases are common for keeping the flowers, we use glass spheres for succulents. The transparent walls create a favorable environment for them to sprout and allow watching the plant grow at the same time.

Boxes are one more common way of delivering a composition, and we love to experiment with the look. We use a paperboard base and then cover it with a top layer in different colors and materials, such as velvet, to match the composition. And because of the foam that keeps the flowers hydrated, they stay fresh and flawless longer.

Flower packaging is not the central part of a bouquet, but it definitely makes a difference. You can really make the simplest flower stand out by choosing a complementary color, feel and shape of its packaging! Pick the one that catches your eye in our store.
